Delaying beyond your legal stay would obviously make you out of status and there are quite a few repercussions for it. It is still February, you still have time

One will get a H1-B without I-94 if the person is outside of USA.
so basically you need to go for stamping to the local consulate for the visa.
If you apply from outside and then come back before it is approved using your old H1 , you would probably get an approved H1 without I-94 which would would need to get stamped again before your current one expires.
Therefore I would suggest that you come back and apply from US itself so that you don't have to go back for stamping again.

We filed our 485 on July 2nd 2007 at Nebraska office � EB3 � July 7, 2001
- The case was shifted to Texas and we received notices from Texas office with receipt date of August 27.
- Our date is now current however processing at Texas is still stuck at June 27, 2007.
- Does this mean our RD is now 08/27/07 even though it was recd. at Nebraska on 07/02/07??
Unfortunately yes - RD Aug 27, you can confirm this by looking at your receipt notice that you got from your attorney.

Did you ever used EAD? Just getting an EAD does not mean you were on EAD.
Also AP does not invilidate your H1. If you are working with the H1 sponsoring employer and never used EAD, then you need not worry.

What is your LC Priority date? Many of my friends had used LC Sub with PD earlier to Dec 2004 and all their applications were approved in TSC. The yardstick for transfer of LC sub cases from TSC to NSC is mystery and we have to find a way to solve it.

What you guys think about the possibility of my PD getting current this year?
I know that it needs a crystal ball to predict such horrendun things like PD movement, but I am just trying to get a poll on the general feeling about the spillover this year.

Me and my spouse both work on H1B and I am applying for I-485 along with EAD/AP for both me and my spouse. My question is since my spouse is already in H1B with certain job title which was mentioned in one of the documents that was filled with i-485, when spouse uses EAD does she need to be looking for similiar jobs only?. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

When it comes to the community organizing and support activities for the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, there are hundreds of organizations that organize, network, and mobilize the immigrants in support of the issues involving the difficult issues of legalization of illegal aliens. However, the same is not true with the employment-based immigration reform issues. The lobbying and organizing and support of these issues rely heavily on the employers, businesses, and academic institutions such as competeamerica. Without doubt, the employers should be the most effective and powerful groups to pressure the Congress, President, and other players in the political process.
However, it is time that the immigrants themselves also participate in a similar effort to share information, issues, and supporting activities. Obviously, the first move is to organize and build a network throuhout the nation and the world, and along with the networking, other support activities must be conducted and expanded. There are not too many immigrant groups that are focused on the employment-based immigration reform issues. Currently, a website of www.immigrationvoice.org is launching this campaign and attempting to organize and network in the employment-based immigrant communities. This reporter urges the foreign professional workers to visit and join this group to help an activities of side-kick from the standpoint of stakeholder foreign workers in support of the employers and their support groups. "Networking" will create a power in the political process.

Who played what role in the reversal of USCIS/DOS decision?
Did IV core / AILA / Congresswoman Lofgren worked together in the back ground? Flower campaign / SJ rally / media - newspaper articles ?
May be all of the above had its unique impact on USCIS's decision to accept I-485?
